Common questions.
Who do you work with?
Founders from pre-seed through Series B, across most sectors. If you're building a company and want to be smart about money, we're a fit. We work with technical founders who'd rather not think about finance, and finance-savvy founders who want a second set of eyes.
How do engagements work?
We start with a call to understand where you are and what you need. From there it's either ongoing advisory on a monthly basis, or a focused project: getting ready for a raise, building a model, cleaning up a cap table. No long lock-ins. You can stop whenever it stops being useful.
Do you take equity?
No. We work on a flat retainer. No equity, no commissions, no success fees. That keeps our advice honest. We only make money when we're actually helping you.
What does it cost?
It depends on scope, and we'll lay it out plainly on the first call before you commit to anything. No surprise invoices, no hourly meter running in the background.
Are you a broker or investment adviser?
No. We're a business advisory firm. We help founders with strategy and financial decisions for their own company. We don't sell securities, solicit investors, or manage investments, so we're not a broker-dealer or a registered investment adviser. When you need legal, tax, or audit work, we'll point you to licensed professionals.
